01Who we are

MAWSIM (موسم) is a Jordanian house of seasonal honey based in Amman, Jordan. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website, place an order, join our letters or write to us — and what we do with it. “We” and “us” mean MAWSIM.

02What we collect

We collect only what we need:

• When you order: your name, phone number, email address and delivery address, any notes for the courier and, for a gift, the recipient’s name, phone number and your card message.
• If you create an account: your email address, a password that we store only in hashed form, and your order history.
• If you join our letters or a waitlist: your email address and your preferred language.
• If you write to us: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and your message.
• Harvest Passport: when a jar’s passport page is opened, we count the visit and note the time. We do not record who opened it.

We do not collect card details, and we do not use analytics, advertising or social-media tracking tools.

03How we use it

• To prepare, deliver and look after your order — including calling you about its delivery.
• To send your order confirmation and, if you asked for them, our seasonal letters: four a year at most.
• To tell you when a harvest you are waiting for is ready.
• To answer your messages.
• To keep the records Jordanian law requires, and to protect our website from fraud and misuse.

We never sell or rent your information, and we never use it for advertising.

04Payments

We offer cash on delivery and CliQ instant bank transfers. We never ask for or store card numbers. A CliQ transfer happens inside your own bank’s app: we see only what any payee sees — the amount, the reference and the sender’s name or alias — so that we can match the transfer to your order.

05Cookies

We use only the cookies our website needs in order to work:

• Session — remembers your bag and, if you sign in, keeps you signed in.
• Security (CSRF) — protects our forms against misuse.
• Language — remembers whether you prefer Arabic or English.

There are no advertising, analytics or third-party tracking cookies, which is why we never ask you to accept any.

06Who we share it with

We share personal information only where it is needed to serve you:

• with our delivery partner: the recipient’s name, phone number and address;
• with the providers who host our website and send our emails, who process it only on our instructions;
• with the authorities, when Jordanian law requires it.

07How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as Jordanian accounting and tax rules require. Your email stays on our letters list until you unsubscribe — every letter carries a link to do so. Messages sent to us are kept for up to two years, and waitlist entries until the harvest is announced or you ask us to remove them.

08Your choices and rights

You may ask us at any time to show you the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete whatever we are not required to keep. You can leave our letters with one click. Write to hello@mawsim.jo and we will answer within 30 days.

09Security

Our website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), passwords are stored hashed, and only the people who prepare and deliver your orders can see your details.

10Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will also tell account holders and subscribers to our letters by email.
